My work reflects multicultural and multimedia experiences. Originally I’m from Belarus , now living in St. Petersburg, Fl. My life on two continents left me with a felling being on edges of both cultures, synthesizing old and new reality. Sometimes my depicted stories are representational, sometimes are illogical, a juxtapositions with no correlation to details. Pear-doomed church towers, river Dwina, Dali’s museum and streets of Vitebsk where Chagall walked are dreamscapes imbedded in my soul. Since I was adolescent I was preocupied by faith and human exsistence. Faith is the most important influence in my artwork. Prayer stimulates dreamlike visions where primitive meets divine. My oeuvre has iconographic source and metaphorical characters. The connectives of images are suppressed and free to interpretation. My art doesn’t influence life, but life affects my art and gives it ostensible purpose. Less
